The day I got my superpower was just like any other day. It was so sudden, however, and so surprising, that I didn’t even realize it happened until I truly thought about it. I was seven years old and walking home from school. I took the shortcut through the forest behind my house like I usually did. Now, I normally went straight home every day like a good little girl, but that time I saw something that really caught my attention. It was a beautiful stone that seemed to be gifted with every colour of the rainbow. As I was staring in awe, a crow came and snatched it up. Before I knew it, I was running after the rogue bird as if my life depended on it! I must have really wanted that stone. Well, I wasn’t looking where I was going, so when the bird flew over the stream, I tripped on a rock and fell face–first into the water. The last thing I remembered thinking before blanking out was:“I wish I could’ve gotten that stone. If only I could get to where that bird is…”

When I woke up, I was back at home in my bed. I couldn’t remember what happened after I fell into the stream, and my clothes were surprisingly dry! My mother told me that I had walked in as usual and went straight to my room without saying a word. I wondered about how I had gotten home, but I didn’t think too deeply about it. A week later, I was walking to my dance class when I thought about how convenient it would be if I could instantly appear wherever I wanted to. And then all of a sudden I was in front of the dance studio! It was then when I finally realized that I could teleport from one place to another with just a thought. When I was older, it occurred to me that I must have acquired my superpower that day when I fell into the stream. Although my memories are still unclear, I vaguely remember hearing an ethereal voice telling me that it would bestow a gift upon me. That gift was the power of teleportation.
Teleportation is commonly used in science–fiction media, but it can also be found in other pieces of media that are not classified as science–fiction, such as Bleach and Naruto. Teleportation is usually used when one of the characters needs to make a quick escape, when they need to get close to an enemy, or when they just want to get somewhere quickly. When I figured out that I could teleport, I was ecstatic. I could finally be like those characters I idolized!

Soon after this discovery, I wanted to see the extent of my powers. I performed various experiments to see what I could and could not do. I figured out that I could take one other person with me when I teleported, but it seemed to tire me out quite a bit. I can transport myself to any place on Earth whether it's on the other side of the world, or just next door! All I have to do is think of the place I want to go and picture it in my mind. This, of course, has a downside, since I have many a time disappeared in the middle of class or during a conversation because I was daydreaming.
I was recruited into a special group of people with super-powers. We are the Special Powers Unit (SPU) of a top secret organization. Any spare time I have is dedicated to performing missions for this group I am a very active member. Using my power, I can easily take my partner and myself wherever we need to go. My power also allows us to make a quick escape when we're in a tight spot. Moreover, in battle, I can get easily get close to my enemy and make a quick, sharp blow. So, my power is useful not only in everyday life, but also when working as an undercover spy.
As for whether my organization is on the side of good or evil, I honestly can’t say. We take jobs that we believe are just. Personally, I believe there are pros and cons to everything—nothing is completely good or evil. There will always be a person who doesn’t support what were doing. And, well, I’m fine with that. After all, having opinions is what makes each person unique.
