What is art?The definition of art is different to everyone, and everyone has different interpretations of it. To me, art is a form of expressing yourself, your feelings, and your emotions, in a way that words can’t. It’s a way to channel all your hidden, concealed, unspoken feelings in a productive way. Many people use art as a visual outlet to pour out all of their emotions. Art is a story shown through different styles. It’s showing your feelings as opposed to telling. For some people, art can be used as a therapeutic solution, to rid themselves of feelings that can’t be shown in any other way. You can create a whole personal universe, through art. A world that is purely your own, and forever-lasting.
What is the purpose of art? Art has many purposes. For some, art may be a stress reliever. To create something, that can be their escape from everything. To be able to create something that they can call their own, make it how they want it to be. Art is also largely used to decorate or personalize one’s home, or any property that they are using or that belongs to them. A place that reflects who they are. It allows anyone to make their walls, their home, and their office, something that reflects THEM. A place that reflects who they are, or their personality. For some, art may just be an interest or a hobby, something they can do in their pastime.
Why do people create art? Art is created to make this world more interesting and more personal to each and every one of us. Without art, this world would be a boring place. Art is everywhere around us, in all shapes and sizes. Most artists do not create art for selling, or for money. It is usually for personal use. Art is shared by everyone, and anyone can create it. It has no boundaries, which is one of the reasons why people create art. There are no wrong or rights when you actualize your feelings into a visual representation. Someone can create something that no one else but they, can understand. Some people may create art, so they can be remembered in this world. To leave their own personal mark. Something to relieve their problems, personalize their life, a pastime they can work on, when they are free. Art is everywhere, created for many reasons, with many purposes.
