Steve Jobs Leadership Style

Steve Jobs is a co-founder of Apple Company in 1976(with his friend Steve Wozniak). He had to leave the company in 1985, because of internal power struggles. He returned twelve years later, in 1985. Steve Jobs was very famous by his speeches that caused attention of all the audience. He communicates using metaphores, analogies and storytelling. His deep knowledge on technology helped him develop the very first hardware. His brilliance towards leadership helps him amaze his employees and convince customers to buy Apple products. Steve does not only justify by his speeches, but also by force. Jobs is described as manipulative, gauche, fraudulent. He once said, My job is to not be easy on people. My job is to make them better. My job is to pull things together from different parts of the company and clear the ways and get the resources for the key projects. And to take these great people we have and to push them and make them even better, coming up with more aggressive visions of how it could be.Steve's leadership style was autocratic, which is leader-centered. He felt that he know the best, and was convincing others to his desires. Steve likes to subordinate people, and explains that working in Apple is what he regards his life goal. His behavior in meetings is described as being rude, dictatorial and disagreeable. There factors make his employees fear him. Jobs also likes to have his own control over everything and has a strong will for achievement. Also, Steve is a transformational leader who brings major, positive change for the organization leaving several companies where he worked in sucess, for example Pixar. He seeks discipline and conformity. In conclusion, Steve Jobs is very passionate, clever, suited for his career, which leaves all the negative characteristics behind making him a very successful man.
